About ISO Boston
We aim to provide international students from Asia (we speak English and Chinese) and their families with local supports for a smooth assimilation into a new country. Our services covers Boston-based schools as well as surrounding states and cities/towns.
Short-term services include arrival supports such as airport pick-up, lodging, public transportation orientation, day trip in Boston and mobile/banking set-up. Longer-term services include year-long culture immersion programs for students to experience the city and its neighboring states' rich culture, history, cuisine, sports, and outdoor beauty. We also provide monthly family newsletters and weekly online consultation so families can stay abreast with their children studying abroad and have their questions be addressed timely. Guardianship services are also available for high-school students whose parents are overseas. Additionally, we provide Boston-based hotels and complementary activities for the students during major holidays and school vacation breaks when their regular accommodations are not available.

Founder's Story
Founder Wen-Hung Lin and her husband Gurki Singh are both immigrants in the U.S. Gurki was born in India, studied in Switzerland when he was 18 and came to the U.S. for his bachelor's degree in hotel management at Johnson & Wales University. Wen-Hung was born in Taiwan and studied in Singapore since she was ten; she obtained her bachelor's degree in accounting from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore and started her career at PwC Singapore in 2003. In 2006, she moved to Boston and spent the next 18 years building a successful career in the U.S. financial industry, serving as Audit Director for internal financial controls at State Street Corporation and Fidelity Investments. Wen-Hung is also a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Massachusetts.
Despite Wen-Hung's successful career in the financial industry, her heart has always been in history, culture and travels. So in 2024, Wen-Hung founded ISO Boston which enables her to share her learnings over the last 18 years in Boston with the next generation of students. Wen-Hung now fully devotes her work to support international students, leveraging her U.S. knowledge, experience as an immigrant and her bi-lingual skills, as well as her role as a parent to care for them and help them succeed. Her goal is to ensure that each of her students has a smooth and enjoyable assimilation experience in a new country.

Wen-Hung enjoys sports (swimming, badminton, volleyball, table-tennis, cycling) since young and competed and won multiple national championships in badminton and track and fields during her school days in Singapore. However, her time outside work these days are mostly spent on the sideline cheering her kids on in their games and caring for the overall well-being of her family. Wen-Hung and Gurki are married with four children age 18, 16, 13 and 11.
